Appwizard with VS .Net

Hi,
 Can somebody tell me how can I install Appwizard with VS .Net ie VC++ 7. This might seem a stupid question but VS .Net does not give me an option to add any Templates and I am also unable to find any *.awx file in the VS .Net Tree. I have tried copying the files (the .awx and the .hlp) to most of the locations in the VS .Net tree but to no avail.
 Is Appwizard compatible only with VS 6.0 or can it work with VS .Net as well. If somebody could help, it would be appreciated. Thanx a lot. Coolral.

You can't. The old wizard works only with VS6/VC6 and there isn't one for VS.NET (and probably newer will).

The direction (of Symbian & vendors) seems to be to move away from MS IDE towards Metrowerks CodeWarrior and Borland C++ Builder.

There is a free version of Borland C++ Builder + a suitable Series 60 SDK on http://forum.nokia.com

You can check http://wallsmedia.narod.ru/epoc/index.html but I am not sure this will replace the Nokia AppWizard.

You can also check this post on Symbian site about Visual Studio .NET

If you have VC .Net, I suggest that you keep it rather than trying to move to Borland or Metrowerks. The App wizard of these two environment is very limited. And the free version of Borland IDE does not have debug support.

IMHO, the best you can do is to create by yourself some basic application template and reuse them accross your devs.
