6670 viewfinder performance problem

I've tested viewfinder frame rate on 6600 and 6670. Result of 6600 is quite reasonable, 25fps at 160x120, 15fps at 320x240. But the result of 6670 test is very dissapointing, only 7fps at both 160x120 and 320x240.

These result does not make sense since 6670 has better cpu and newer software. Does 6670 have a slower camera module or lower bandwidth between cpu and camera?

Anyone have same experience?

The camera in the 6670 has much higher resolution than the 6600.  Depending on where the pictures are scaled down to the resolutions you specify, that might affect the throughput.

Do you mean that 6670 uses software for scaling instead of a image coprocessor?

That's not impossible as the CPU of the 6670 seems a lot more faster than the one of the 6600.....

Interesting, I was only getting 15 fps from 6600. Which format were you using ? EFormatYUV420Planar ?

Is u'r application working fine with YUV format.I have used PrepareImageCapture(CCamera::EFormatYUV420Planar,0), the control
stops at this function i.e execution halts at this point wat can be the problem pl.help
