i am also facing similar problem, i got an example for my series 60 SDK , it is compiled with out errors , i ran the program and tried to send SMS but it got stucked .

I dont think you can send and receive actual SMS in the emulator. If you want to test an application with SMS sending capability, I guess you have to load it to your phone.
On a more practical note, SMS emulator shouldn't really send SMS ... otherwise, mobile companies will lose tons of revenues.
Yes you can. You actually will not send sms in the real world (so the companies will not lose their money - for pedro). The answer to this is nokia connectivity framework. About the Connectivity Framework:installed it. Doesn`t work! Why I have series 60 sdk 2nd edition feature pack 2 but doesn`t detect it. What should i do? Help. pls.
The emulator will be detected by the Connectivity Framework when you start first time the emulator. Of course the Connectivity Framework should run at that time.
The installation order doesn't matter. Just start the Connectivity Framework and after start the emulator. It should be detected by the Connectivity Framework (of course if it was installed corect)
i had downloaded series sixty v 2.0 earlier n now i have downloaded nokia connectivity framework but it is not working...i dont know how to start it...i hv read the manuals but i am not able to understand as to how to go about it...plz can anyone help me out...cud you tell me the basic steps as to wat to do...
