so many limits on distribution of symbian sdk libraries. we have to configure the win simulator and change a large mounts of shell scripts to achive the sdk working on linux. plz, is there any simple way to achive the coding and debuging symbian on linux ? it seems that only s40 and s60 maybe reserved permanent for low level and hight level smart phone. and so many abled programmers here, why not construct a new symbian system structure do the same as original symbian in linux ? easy to simulate and debug, the final binary part just switch to windows to do that then. wayne |

it seems gnupoc.
I'm workig with sdk2unix currently:
http://www.koeniglich.de/symbian_sdk_on_unix.html
if i can finish my graduation thesis one day, i'm planning to try porting Series60 sdk2.1 to gnupoc.
i think supporting Gnupoc or sdk2unix is more realistic, rather than starting a new project.
