Arabic text display & data entry in Symbian Series 60 v1

Does anyone know how to provide arabic support i.e. display text and also allow data entry for an application targeted for series 60 v1.2 sdk? I am finding that the application compiles fine with the arabic locale strings but square boxes are displayed on the device as well as the emulator. Whereas the same application works gr8  Cheezy on the series 60 v2.1 device and emulator? Any ideas, solutions !!! Huh:

Sounds like you'd at least have to find or make a different font file (and use it) for 1.2 devices.

Hi Sushil,

To view and write Arabic in your phone, the phone should have arabic support... which includes arabic keypads and arabic fonts..... To test your application download the following application and test... this application will give you full support for Arabic....

For UIQ
