Metrowerks or Borland?

I have tried the trial version of metrowerks codewarrior for Symbian OS Personal edition and it worked fine - as you might expect I could just learn how to import and run a helloworld application during the trial period and the license expired.
Next I set up the free IDE of Borland CBuilderX 1.5 Mobile edition. 1. With Series 60 SDK I only see the emulator when I run a project after importing the bld.inf of helloworld, I am not able to locate the helloworld application in the emulator! 2. With the UIQ2.1 from borland. Here When I run the project I get errors a. 'dumpbin' not recognized b. 'HelloWorld.app' is missing in '..........udeb/z/system/apps' I have posted in forums and have got no help so far. If someone here has been able to setup the free IDE for Windows XP, please help me. In the worst case, If anyone has worked with both the IDEs and cannot help me with my problem, please do suggest which IDE I should buy - borland or metrowerks? Borland 1.5 is less costlier than metrowerks. But has known issues addressed in the free version. Are they sorted out in the 1.5 version I might buy? Also, noting that Nokia and Metrowerks have reached an understanding to work together, do we assume that even the future versions of Symbian are better compatible with Metrowerks than with Borland? Help needed at the earliest please - I feel I have wasted a considerable amount of time playing around setting up the free IDE! I appreciate any help from any corner - Thanks. Tanuja |
