rcomp on Linux (Series 60 2.0 version 7.0s)

Hi,
I am trying to build code for the Nokia 6600 on Linux using the Series 60 2.0 version 7.0s SDK. I seem to have problems with rcomp. I used rcomp posted on http://gnupoc.sourceforge.net/ to build it. Since I have GCC 3.2.2, I had to make a few changes to some of the source files and the makefile to get it to build. With this build, rcomp does not successfully pass all the tests specified in the tsrc sub directory. Has anybody else go rcomp working successfully on GCC 3.2.2 (Mandrake 9.1)? I think this is a problem because I am getting an error when I try to run the sample application helloworldbasic provided in the series60ex subdirectory. On the phone, I just get an error saying "App closed helloworldbasic" and the application exits when I click on "Options". The Options menu is compiled via rcomp, hence I suspect rcomp to be the source of the problem. Does anybody think this is a problem with rcomp? Will compiling with GCC 2.95 help solve it? Or is it an entirely different problem alltogether? Thanks, Amit |
