AT Commnads from application

Hello,

I'm total newbie in Symbian application, but I have a huge will to learn more and more about it )

I would like to send AT commands directly from my application. For example I would like to make data call, or get some network informations. I know that there is API to get network information, cause I done it already with it. I not sure about data calls :/

I have no idea if this is possible at all. Is it ?? And if is how can I achieve this goal?? Can I send commands and also receive responses ??
If someone can give me any suggestion I would be appreciate )
