Re: symbian signed applications: how must does it cost?
mphasis charges around 200 Euros per submission. But you have to buy an ACS-ID (around 350 Euros / year) as well.
So the minimum cost for a single application is 550 Euros if it has been signed on the first tentative - which is not always easy, depending on the Symbian experience you have.
(note that if you have two applications to sign, you don't need to buy two ACS-ID ! so the price for two application would be 350 + 2 x 200 = 750 Euros, not 1100 !).

Yes, to get you app signed in the first round is very lucky break (or an EXE without any GUI ). Usually it takes 2 rounds (next one is little bit cheaper). The most annoying part is that when you submit your next version for signing then they discover lots of new things to complain about also they have been there since the beginning.
