No device found when searching between nokia 6600 and Xp

I have a nokia 6600 that is working fine, however i am unable to use any of my 2 bluetooth adapters (belkin and IVT BlueSoleil 1.4 Dongle) to find the phone nor can the phone find my computer.
I have been able to send and recieve files from one moblie device to another. But when sending to PC of From phone there is message " no blue tooth device found". Is there a special software need for both the phone and the PC to Communicate? And if so what? I am currently using winXP OS. Thanks for your help. |

Hey,
i have installed BlueSoleil Dongle drivers and and pluged in the dongle to my laptop and i am able to detect my laptop on my Mobile
no extra software is needed, but my device is N72. may the prob is with 6600 i am not sure.

I had similar problems before with a Belkin adapter. What I had to do was to uninstall the dongle driver and then allow XP to choose and install a driver. This installs a windows driver which was a bit more of a pain to use as you had to set it to make yourself visible everytime you wished another device to find you.
