Carbide 2.0.1 Hotfix problem

I installed the fix (the zip with the 2 files) that comes with Carbide 2.0.1 - the fix that should take care of the bug in creating DLLs. after installing it, I could not build for GCCE anymore. I had to remove the fix.
what could be wrong ?

I hope you might have got it from here: Unofficial fix to estlib linking issue with S60 3.0 SDK, the better place to ask this question is also there in that case.
