Hi,
Since there is no way for application to store some files on drive after unsinstall - this is a regulation of symbian signed - how could one know if application was previously installed on that device and when???

Is there any registy like in windows where we can store data? How to create drm with such regulations???
I've seen that some app use internet and webservices to limit trial period... Is there any way to leave stamp on device?

I am not interested in any commercial DRM licencing...

The central repository is a  registry like component.

I think the software installer component may retain a history of what has been installed (even after its been removed) but am not sure. If it does then I don't know what API can be used to access the installation history.
