Swisslinx are seeking an Enabling Layer / IMS Expert for a contract assignment in the area of mobile telecommunications. The role is a very technical position and involves issuing architectural recommendations to various projects, providing a high level of expertise to architects, bridging the knowledge gap between the core network and applications layer, proactively contacting companies to review their technical solutions, recommending platform evaluations, training company staff on emerging technologies and producing white papers and reports. On the technical side experience with TCP/IP, SGSN/GGSN, IMS, SIP, WAP, HTTP, Diameter/Radius, AAA concepts and architecture, OSA Parlay, JAIN SLEE, Streaming/Videotelephony protocols and Firewalls/VPNs is required. Candidates for this position must also have strong skills in the areas of software and network engineering, mentoring, knowledge of wireless communications, networks architecture, architecture concepts, business requirement analysis, solution design and Standardisation Committees (IEEE, 3GPP, OASIS). The client's ideal candidate comes from a technical network/software background, enjoys interacting at all levels (from CTO to Engineers), has a very "visionary" approach to mobile telecommunications, has extensive knowledge of OSA Parlay, IMS, SIP and AAA. It is extremely beneficial if you have previously worked for a vendor (Nokia / Alcatel / Ericsson). The working language is English.
