Dolby Australia is seeking applications from outstanding candidates, for the role of Mobile Software Engineer within the Consumer Division.
 
The position is within a small, dynamic team, responsible for the design and implementation of licensable audio technologies and software applications. It requires an individual with a high level of motivation and initiative.


Specifically, this positionÂ’s responsibilities will include the implementation of Symbian-based mobile media software applications on a range of target platforms, testing and documentation.
 
Key requirements & attributes for the successful applicant include:
·    Object oriented software design skills
·    Experience with developing on Symbian/S60 a must
·    Experience with developing media applications for Symbian/S60 highly desirable
·    An understanding of audio signal processing highly desirable
·    Experience developing under Linux/Java for mobile a plus
·    A basic understanding of mobile media networking protocols a plus
·    The ability to work unsupervised when required; and
·    A logical, organized, systematic and thorough approach.


Further, the role requires a Degree in Science (Computer Science) or Electronic Engineering with a software focus.  A demonstrated knowledge and passion for audio technology is essential.
