Hey everyone,
When appointments/tasks have notes which are *too* long, the emulator crashes.

Did anyone else have these problems?
And if so, does he have information regarding the max length of notes?
And how to get around this?

Re: Long notes in Symbian
Not sure if this is the same problem - but we found something similar on UIQ - we got an error "ETEXT 10" when we tried to commit entries with text longer than 128 chars. This error was also on the device - not just the emulator.

It seems the system has it's own method for working with long notes, and it's not documented properly. We wrote to S-E support but never got a real answer - according to them our code was good....

Basically in our peogram we ended up limiting the note length to 128 chars (maybe a bit less) to avoid this problem.

Sorry - not so much help Sad

Well,
Good to know at least that other people have found this problem.

Verry annoying.
I will let you know if I come up with anything.
