Creating Symbian DLL under Linux

I've managed to get my development environment setup nicely under Linux, and really appreciate the efforts made by several dedicated people out there so I can have an easy to use development environment, but although I can create .app file (I..e UIQ applications), I'm not sure how to link a Symbian DLL under Linux...

Does anyone out there know? ALl the code I can find only has .app files in them.
