College Project using MobileVB.I NEED HELP

I have 4 months to do a project for a Series 60 Nokia(Nokia 3230 preferably), and i plan on using MobileVB to get it done. The problem is i have no idea where to start. Using VB i would like to make a chat application for phone to phone chatting via bluetooth, as well as allow the user to perform tasks on his computer through his phone, again via bluetooth. What do i need to know, that will get me on my way?Any help will be immensely appreciated.

If you really want to program your application in MobileVB, and my knowledge about that product is correct, it seems to me that this project will be around 90% about Visual Basic and only 10% about Symbian.

So maybe take a PC, install and learn Visual Basic there, program most of the application on the PC, and only towards the end move to the phone? And of course for starting, seek help among Visual Basic programmers?

Or modify your project, drop MobileVB (Isn't this a "dead" product anyway? And are you sure about support of Bluetooth in MobileVB on Symbian devices?) and implement the whole thing as a true Symbian application.

exactly my predicament. I dont know where to start. MobileVB sounded like a good way to go, and i had seen someone post regarding a bluetooth chat program in MobileVB. It definite that i want to develop it for a series 60 but if not MobileVB what will i use. Appforge provides mobileVB as part of their crossfire package, and as far as i knew, this was the only way to code for symbian using a microsoft language.

may be you can look into a new tool GoDB --which is more simillar like VB in programming...you can check that out in this site www.go-db.com

they have a lite edition for symbian series 60 development altogether.. you can download the same from here:
