Hi I like to know what brands of bluetooth dongles are compatible to work on win xp sp2 if i want to create a pc application to receive data from the mobile phones using bluetooth as the medium?
We are using successfully Belkin and Linksys dongles. The important thing (at least the only way we havve succeeded) is to use the Microsoft driver rather than the widcom one (i.e do not install the driver that comes with your dongle).

I'm using widcomm driver - MS not recognizing my dongle. It works ok, though with several harmless weird effects :
1. It report error, connection not successful, and after couple of second successfuly establish connection. 2. If you connecting after disconnect you can't do it through the system tray, only control panel 3. After each reboot/turn off/sleep/disconnect you have to add com ports to BT configuration again
