hi

ive looked at previous threads about installing apps on my a920.. ive got to the stage where ive downloaded a sis unpacker (Total commander) ..i can view the contents of the .sis files ..but there seem to be loads of files and folders ?? ive tried copying differnt variations of files and folders to my phone but none seem to work..i get the following error "Application Couldn't be started" ..any ideas on what i need to do ?

Hi, ive been having the same problem. Ive been looking around and found some things out.

The languages folders are simple they are just differnet forms of the program for a user specified language

The "!" folder is part of .sis format and is supposed to be a user specified file location so you can store them on your mem card

Lastly some of the unpackers functions are linking various files together, so if its a simple program it will work ok but when you get more complicated programs i dont think manually loading them onto your phone will work??

This isnt an answer but i hope I helped clear up a few things?? i have been scouting around for an unpacker program but havent had any luck yet but will let you know if i come across anything  Roll Eyes

trying to unpack via symbian sdk
I've downloaded the UIQ21 SDK from symbian but can't get it to run under Windows XP.

I set up the system variable etc but each time I run a DOS window opens and imeediately closes - It mentions durin setup it's untested on XP but has anyone been able to run it?

Handy Databank on A920
I've finally managed Handy Databank onto my A920 via the usual suspects methods and it loads fine BUT it won't recognise the files it save. It will import a text file and apparently save it as a database but it won't show a list of .hb files (even the ones it says it has saved which appear to be on the machine).

So near yet oh so far!

Any ideas?

Hooray - sorted it .mdl file in sys/recogs not copied across
