Registering SDP entry on Symbian 7.0 (SE-P900)

I'm attempting to register a service in the SDP on a P900. In lieu of some decent docs from Symbian or SE on using the SDP, I have the source code from Nokia's Series 60 SDK that has a couple of examples showing how to register an entry.

But after pulling the interface code & substituting a UIQ interface, it all runs through fine, but no entry appears in the SDP list when browsed from anotother BT device (A Linux laptop running Bluez).

So... Is it possible to register SDP entries on Symbian 7.0, or have SE somehow disabled it from use (For fear of competition creating services they missed out perhaps?) Or odes it require something extra that the series 60 doesn't need?

I've tried SE's developer forums, but they aren't really interested unless your're a core or core+ (i.e. $$$) member...

Anyone?
