I hope somebody out there can help me with this, as Sony Ericsson is pretty useless.
I have a P910a that I bought for the purpose of running a windows pocket pc based program called "Airline Pilot Daily Logbook" on. As a pilot, I use this program daily and to my great frustration, the Symbian system is not compatible with it. Is there a emulator for windows mobile/pocket pc or converter or something that I can get to make it work? And no, the developer of the program does not have a Symbian version, only pocket pc(windows) and Palm versions. thanks |

If there is no corresponding Symbiian based version of the application by someone else, or if that application's developer doesn't want (or can't) make a Symbian version, then your only option is to buy a Pocket PC device, instead (or in addition).
I'm also a bit curious as to why you decided to buy a phone which is not a Pocket PC device for running a Pocket PC application (assuming you knew of Pocket PC's and the application being for a Pocket PC)?
For whomever developed the application: AppForge (http://www.appforge.com/) has tools that might help in porting their Pocket PC application to Symbian.

I knew tha application is for Pocket PC or Palm devices, but was unaware at the time that the P910a runs Symbian and that it is incompatible with aps that where written for those OS's.
Thing is, I really like the P910a, it has a lot of nice features, one of which is it is not locked to a specific service provider. The PDA phones you get from Cingular / verizon etc are not as nice.
