Hi there, After a long break I'm again back to the forum... The new interface of the Forum as well as the Home page is really awesome. It's now very easy to use with a very simple design. This post is just a continuation of the topic Site update - missing features., may there will some points which had already been discussed, so if any please ignore. I would like to make it to the notice of the Administor(s) of the forum that there are so many cool features missing in the new forum, which was there previously. I would like to list a few of them here. 1. There is no option to quote others post while replying. My conclusion is please provide an option to configure maximum features of the forum, as one feature may like by one but not by the other one. |

Hi vin2ktalks,
I agree with most of your remark and will try to check whether we could fix it quickly.
Could you detail the remark (2), as I did not understood it (I will send you an private message in parallel).
Thanks for this constructive feedback.

Thanks Eric for your concern to spent some time to read this thread. I thought that this one is ignored as I made it some weeks back .
Well, normally if you check a thread the posts are displaying in the ascending order (oldest first) on which date/time the posts have been created (I mean the first post will display first and then the second so on). What I wanted to make your notice is that, there was a setting available in the old version of Forum to change it to oldest first or newest first. I like the second one as a regular user of the forum, because otherwise we'll always see the read post first and we have to scroll down to see the new posts. So there may be people who like this feature and not, so that I asked you to keep it as an option under our preference.

I miss the 'last active' feature the most. Gave me information if my reply was read by the concerned person (and possibly implemented without complaints, not everybody reply back to tell you it worked)

I took a few holidays this summer... almost the first summer holidays in three years so the delay!
We are always considering constructing feedback, especially from people like you which have been here for quite some time and tend to post interesting response and help other! We need you to come here more often than on other forums

Hi vin2ktalks,
I have added a setting to change the display order of forum posts.
Go to:
-> My account
-> Edit
-> Comment settings - Display order
Note that per design this setting affects both the display of articles comments and forum replies. And note too that the first forum topic is always displayed first, so this setting only affects the responses.
