im having difficulty looking for freewares and applications for my nokia 5700. the phone always gives me the "not supported" prompt during installation.

Make sure you try to install S60 3rd Edition apps (no S60 2nd Ed. or 1st Ed. apps will work).
Make also sure you have this setting set to "All": menu > Tools > App.mgr > Options > Settings > Software installation
