Symbian / Communications Specialist - Edinburgh to £ 60 k

We have an urgent need for a number of excellent C++ OOD software engineers. On top of this, we are ideally looking for excellent domain experience with mobile platforms such as Symbian or mobile communication technologies such as Bluetooth, IR, (Shortlink). You will be joining a team of excellent software engineers and working with customers across Europe and the World. The Company is a blue chip name and based very centrally in the beautiful city of Edinburgh. We need engineers / programmers who are able to perform on this stage ! You will be contributing to one of the leading technology developers within the 3G mobile space. We need engineers who are able to display EXCELLENCE with C and C++ development. In return for displaying this sort of potential we will give you the opportunity to work with 3G technologies and platforms. If you already have exposure to Symbian and or other mobile OS’s that is great, otherwise, we will look for some understanding of how real time OS’s such as Symbian work – thus previous work on VxWorks, PSOS or other RTOS’s would be relevant. This is a role that will position you as a domain guru within the communication space. You will use your excellent mobile protocols knowledge coupled with Symbian OS skills (Current or gained) to create breathtaking new applications for the mobile handset. This position will stand you in fantastic stead for your future career and you will be able to add a globally recognized brand name to your CV ! We are offering salaries to £ 55k dependant on skill level + excellent package. This role is based in Edinburgh.
