SVG Icons on E61

I have a small GUI application that uses a custom SVG-T icon. I am able to see this application icon on the emulator GUI as well as the menu GUI on an N95. The odd thing is that when I install the same application sis to the E61, the application icon is blank. The application shows up in the menu grid and runs with no problem... it just does not have an icon. Does the E61 menu system work differently than the N95 (i.e. maybe it does not support SVG-T based icons)? Anybody see this behavior?
