Hi guys,

I'm trying to get a midlet running in the background on motorola UIQ phones -- specifically the motorola Z8.

So far I've tried 2 ways for this phone,

* Display.getDisplay().setCurrent(null) -- i've had pretty much no luck with this so far

* The jad parameter Background: true -- I think it's not relevant for the way this phone works though,

In particular I want to know, can I expect Display.setCurrent null to work for this phone?

If not, what alternatives do I have?

You haven't, then, made a backup of the card contents to a PC? Apparently not, but from now on, I assume you're going to.

If it was easy to circumvent and get to the data, such a password feature would be rather useless in the first place. You can try asking http://www.ibas.com if they can help (depends also on how much you're willing to pay). In case they can, out of general interest, let us know how much it costs, and also if they managed to do it, should you decide to pay.
