Receiving data from USB in Symbian s60-2nd

I need to read an image file from PC through USB.
With "read" I mean I can just copy the file from PC to phone memory, but also that I could "directly" read data without writing them to phone "hard disk" before: I think the second method, if actually feasible, would be much faster.

Any sample source about one of this two methods?
Which transfer rate could I reach?
