I have to share this with someone. HookLogger wont work, and after 2 hour of reinstalling Hook application, then SDK , then analyzing that perl script, "HookLogger's installation path must not contain any spaces. If it does (e.g. installing to the default location under Program Files\Common Files\Symbian\tools), you will have to edit two lines at the end of HookEUSER.pl. Replace" WTF cant install on default location, i mean, WTF, those anyone of those guys, even check what they put on download. And this is not the first time, its about 1001 time, i dont know how i have nerves left. Ah, sorry, do anything you like with this message, i just had to share frustration with someone. |

Hehe...
I know how you feel.
Symbian programming (and particularly, the symbian tool chain) is not for the easily agitated... You need a buddah mind
I don't know of any site like you mention, but if you were ever to start one, I will be a frequent visitor...

Hooklogger tool has been upgraded and is currently in beta testing. This particular issue has/will be fixed in the next version. The right place to report any issue with Symbian supplied tools is the tools forum: http://developer.symbian.com/forum/forum.jspa?forumID=3

Just a sec, this is not some bug that is happening in some rare cases , this bug prevent HookLogger from being started at all.
Even if it is beta , is it so hard to write in installation document, in section "version 0.xxx: Known Bugs / Issues"
some major bugs and solution? or that link that you submit? (HookLogger own bug submiting forum would be nice)
About that forum, it was a joke, but if you guys find it interesting why not
i can set up one phpBB , on my site www.pdadevelop.com, with some subdomen, any suggestions are welcome (e.g. symbian.pdadevelop.com/frustrations/ or something)
It could work like this:
and at the end solution.
It would not be answer / solution forum,
you can only post when you lose lots of your valuable time on some stupid little thing,
So you write down your problem, then you write down how pissed and frustrated you are, then what you think of Symbian in that moment,
(Off course any help with English spelling and grammar would be nice
What you think?
