I have a device build for an application ready, I already have the SIS file.
But when I install this on the phone, I get an error that the SIS file is unsigned.
what do I do next?
How do I get a certificate for my device?
well you can get developer certificate to sign it for testing purpose or you can self sign it if the capabilities are in the self-signing limits. Check the SDK documents for how to self sign or sign with developer certificate.
oh by the way, regarding getting developer certificate, it was possible to do so for one IMEI without publisher ID, but it hasnt been so for a few weeks now. You could get developer certificate only if you have a publisher ID.
Just to add to that, publisher's ID is not given to the indiviual developers, only the organizations can get a publisher's ID. For signing visit www.symbiansigned.com
