I am working on bluetooth and new!!!!! i am working on bluetoothdiscovery examples,
can u please tell me which APIs or classes or member functions used
to discover the bluetooth device

I mean i have 256MB RAM,and and 40 GB hard disk and 2.27 Ghz P-4 system . does it need any extra RAM or something lik that??
Since am very new to Symbian really dont knw how to start with, I was working with Linux Device Drivers eariler. My mind always tend to relate all symbian things with linux os.
Am now going through One book called SYmbian OS essentials.
plzz help me out regarding this.

I think that you should invest in some extra RAM however. 512MB looks a very minimum to me. And if you can afford 1GB or more, go for it (I added 1GB RAM module to my laptop which originally have only 512MB and this speed up Carbide and the emulator launch a lot...).

Since you are a beginner, there are loads of links you can refer for getting started with Symbian.
Most of such PDFs lie in the SDK that you are using and many more available on the forum.nokia site.

That hardware should be perfectly ok, and if you go through a good Symbian book you do already what I would advice anybody new to Symbian.
Maybe the hardest part will be the feeling to be a complete novice for a certain time, but that will pass fairly soon, and you will be on your way
