Express Signed Applications?

"EXPRESS SIGNING : The signature is almost immediate as no test houses are involved in the process: the user has the responsibility to test his application himself." I'm not clear on something.. I can see the advantage of taking the 'Express Signed' route. However, if your app is signed almost immediately and involves no testing house (unless you are chosen for a random test) what happens if you submit an application that hasn't passed all of the symbian signing test criteria ? Doesn't this open the doors to potentially buggy software being signed just to get it to market quicker? It sounds as if you pay $200 for your Publisher ID, submit your application (a)Does it not get checked by anyone at Symbian at all? What am I missing here? ~~~~ |

Once you submitted the application for express signing. They will select one of your application and sent it for testing.
if it got failed they will cancel all your content ids temporarily. Again you have to submit your applications by fixing all the bugs.
then you will get your content ids back..
