Detecting HSDPA availability and/or usage?

Is it possible to detect if HSDPA (3.5G) is currently available or currently in use using S60 C++ API?

Devices show "3.5G" indicator when HSDPA is in use, so the information about HSDPA usage must be available, but can it be accessed by application developers?

How about detecting HSDPA availability in the current network on application level? Is this information available and can it be accessed somehow?
