Debug messages don't get shown on Carbide although I have changed epoc.ini

I have set
LogToFile 1
LogToDebugger 1
in epoc.ini. I still can't see any debug messages. Do I have to do anything more for the
messages to be shown?

I installed Carbide on Vista, changed in epoc.ini and then the debug messages were shown.
But I couldn't use Carbide on Vista due to "code 57 87" errors, so I installed it on XP instead.

I followed exactly the same procedure as on Vista and changed the epoc.ini file. So why
doesn't the debug messages get shown?
