Customize Shortcuts and Active Standby display (E66 and E71)

As you all know, Nokia recently announced the E66 and E71:

"The Nokia E71 is optimized for messaging and e-mail with a full messaging keyboard and two customizable home screens, which let users switch easily between business and personal applications."

And I think I also read somewhere that the shortcut buttons are customizable.

Does anyone know what API supports this?
Can the Active Display finally be customizable through code?
Can the shortcut keys really be updated? (can calendar items open up a different application than the default Nokia Calendar?)
