Creating command buttons in UIQ 2.1

Hi all,
I want to create a command button in my appview (inheriting CCoeControl)( for UIQ 2.1) and invoke a particular function when the command button is pressed. I shall be glad if someone can provide some links or sample code of creating the command buttons and invoking certain functions when the button is pressed.
