Swisslinx is seeking a contract C++ / C# Test Developer to work on key elements of a major product which is about to be brought to the market by a very well renowned client.

The role will afford the successful candidate the opportunity to work in a team/environment with a real “startup” feel to it whilst being supported by an industry leading vendor.

It is a “test development” position, meaning you are required to possess high level programming/development skills and use these in areas such as test automation (scripting) and writing code to verify / test the quality of a system with a user base of millions of users, making this a very interesting role for those of you who want to and believe you possess the necessary level of IT skills to work and excel within an elite group of IT professionals.

Additional responsibilities include designing functional test cases and developing test automation, executing/ developing stress and performance test cases and identifying and driving bugs to closure. You will also work with program managers, developers and peer testers to define, develop, test and deliver high quality feature components.

In order to be considered for this position you must have outstanding C++ and/or C# .Net development / programming skills, these will be tested to the limit both during interview and throughout the duration of this assignment. Another requirement is the ability to quickly come up to speed on new technologies and unfamiliar code.

What will set you apart from other applicants and guarantee that we secure you an interview is your experience of (some or all of the following): creating workflows in ACD (automated call distributor / distribution) systems, PBX systems, VOIP systems, SIP (in depth, i.e. can could you draw out a SIP call flow?) and real time communications platforms or servers.

On the soft skills side you should be an excellent communicator, feel strongly about customer satisfaction, be passionate about delivering high quality IT solutions and also be enthusiastic about working with cutting-edge technologies.

The working language is English. Swiss nationals, Swiss work permit holders or Zurich based EU nationals are ideal for this position due to the requirement for an immediate start but we can also consider EU nationals with good reasons for wanting to come here and whose situation enables them to be in Zurich at short notice.
