Hi,

I noted that with symbian 9 the on boot autostart of an application became a difficult issue for nokia S60.
From a technical point of view it is simple, but to do this, you need the ProtServ capability
which needs the application to be signed (self signing does not work).

Moreover the test criteria for signing seem unclear about autostart
and startup list API is not standard for all symbian devices.

My questions is:
does exist any tool like ezboot for symbian 9 ?

Hi,
I agree with you,
my problem is that now I have to sign my application
which makes slower and more difficult the deployment.

So I think that it was a nice thing to have an application launcher
without have to cope with all the signing stuff.

Otherwise does anybody know if it is possible to sign only the launcher
or a watchdog application of another app/exe?
