S60 3rd Edition FP2 SDK Patch (against GCCE warnings)

Dear Mr Head of Developer Support at Nokia,

Please find attached a patch targeted at the S60 3rd FP2 SDK to allow the poor developers that we are to be able to compile our application without hundred of lines of warning. There are probably other defects in the SDK as I cannot check all files but at least this is a first start.

Note: the zip archive contains patched version of the following files:

  • eikmenup.h
  • cntitem.h
  • bitmap.h
  • msvstd.inl

Note 2: if someone from Symbian Foundation read this, I guess you can also integrate the patch in Symbian^2

I will update the article... it actually just contains patched version of the following files:

  • eikmenup.h
  • cntitem.h
  • bitmap.h
  • msvstd.inl

The patches are just cast to TBool or TInt types.
