Some developers may regret that Android is providing an other new framework, while there are existing ones to reuse or/and to improve (LiMo or MIDP for instance), but this may change using cross-platform solutions.
At first though, Qt the C++ framework may not be suitable for Android, but BogDan of android-ndk's mailing list just proved that it is possible.
The porting project is not yet over, but the Core classes are "in good shape", now let's figure how the integration will be, a true Qt desktop ? native C++ applications, java wrappers using Qt jambi? or worse scenario using JNI ?
Also, notice that there is a similar project on iPhone too.
