developing S60 3rd on N95.

I am implementing a client to some google services. the client attempts to sign into google by posting to the following address
https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLoginAuth?service=grandcentral
posting the account data Email=xxx&Passwd=yyy

the problem is I keep getting back from google "your browser's cookie functionality is turned off. Please turn it on again"

this is the same message you get if you try to log into google from a browser when you are blocking the cookies in the browser.

I have no idea what makes google think I am not willing to accept cookies.
any clue anybody ?
