To keep up to date, I've recently built a new version of eeedroid from git tree to compare with the previous one : eeedroid-0.0.20090209 (which also work on eeepc1000 or 900HD as some users reported).
Unfortunately it's still early stage, since few devices are supported, forget about touchpad, wifi or sound.
But if, analysts say that android is suitable for netbooks (HP too), you'll have to test eeedroid.

Side note, I recently posted an article about eeedroid-emulator, actually it's a mistake this is about nitdroid for nokia tablets not netbooks,anyway booting eeedroid in a VM should not be too tricky.
