To work with real-time video one needs at least two things - direct access to bitmaps and fast way to get frames from a video camera. To achieve the first goal one needs to keep in mind that Bitmaps are located on a shared heap that needs to be locked before any direct access can safely take place.

Accelerometer used for on-screen navigation. It's not fair, I was also thinking about writing the same as Nokmote. The first time I heard that another Nokia phone, N95, has a built-in accelerometer I started wondering why on Earth is it worth for Nokia to put such a device in their phone? Then I started to think about what we could do with it?

art_2-small.png In this second tutorial about LBS, we will show you how to draw some geolocalized maps, centered on our location. This tutorial will just describe a simple Application which draw maps we had generated before. I'll just use a few maps around my house I've generated but if you to make a application which cover a big landscape you'll have to find another solution, or pass long time with making maps..
