hey... i just want to ask question,,,
i have an existing application on my s60 2nd edition phone,,and its files are located at E:\system\apps...,i have additional files created on this directory essential for enhancement of that existing application,... and my friends want to have those files also, so im planning to make a sis file that will just install those additional files,, so that i can upload the sis file into the net and let them download it.. please help... i dont know how to create a sis file...

You don't code a pkg file, you just have to write it. For this, you almost need four things:
  a text editor
  a symbian SDK installed on your machine
  an application ready for deployment
  reading the PKG file syntax in the SDK help

Hi , I just bought Sony P910i. I want to install some medical applications which are in .exe executable format. Can you guide me how to create .sis file to install it on this phone. I am not a technical person, your help is very much appritiated.

Can anyone tell me how to build a project?because, my helloworldbasic.rsc kept built in \Symbian\7.0s\Series60_v20\Epoc32\release\wins\udeb\z\system\apps\helloworldbasic\helloworldbasic.rsc while it should be in \Symbian\7.0s\Series60_v20\epoc32\release\armi\urel\helloworldbasic.app

I can install the sis file to the nokia 3650, and the .app and .rsc will be under c:\system\apps, but i can't run the .app, it kept saying "System error", how could this happen?? btw I use symbian60 v2.0

I've change the UID to be like symbian60 v0.9 so the N3650 can install it. I only install a simple helloworld.

I've created sis file using SISAR, I load the pkg file using the option/load pkg tab (the UID was filled in automatically). After I transfer it to my Nokia3650, it said that the version might not suitable, but I force to install it. But it was failed because it said that the UID was not exist. Can you tell me why is this happening?

I use Symbian OS 60series 2.0, is it compatible with the N3650? because I only made a helloworld application.

Hi, I made the SIS file and installed the application on P910i. Now I wanna uninstall it. When i click on the uninstall option , I get a list of several application from which i m supose to pick one for uninstallation. But the problem is...I am not getting the name of the application which I wanna uninstall .Can anybody solve this prob of mine?

Does anyone know how I can uninstall an application programmatically, i.e. without using the phone or PC UI? I understand that the .sis file created on system\install holds info on the files to be removed at uninstall, but is there a command that is run with this .sis file as a parameter which will remove the application related to the .sis file?

I need to be able to remove applications for Sony Ericsson P900/P910 remotely using a third party software without user intervention.

The version (UID) of your application should be compatible with the phone you are using or with UIQ version..... you can find common UID here (http://www.newlc.com/article.php3?id_article=149&var_recherche=UID)
