BTFileSend for Symbian S60 3rd Ed.
This is one of my first ventures on SourceForge.NET, it is a project based on GNU General Public License. This project is for sending files over Bluetooth on Symbian S60 3rd Edition. It has used the OBEX protocol over RFComm.
Features
Currently you can search for the nearby Bluetooth devices; once it finishes the search it'll display the device name on the application list box. The user can select on a particular device and if that device supports OBEX you can send a hard coded file to the other device.
History
This project is in its planning/alpha state; hopefully I can release a beta version in the coming day. Still "miles to go before sleep", as of now try to fix most of the bugs in it. Getting Symbian Signed is another issue. I would really appreciate all of your valuable comments. If there any bugs feel free to raise it.
Future
I'm planning to add the some more new features to this application in the coming future. Some of them are:
- Send Image/Audio files by searching the file system of the device.
- Show the status of the device on the list box using some icon.
- Real time text transfer to the other device. (It's kind of chat feature).
- Getting SymbianSigned certificate under freeware category.
- And more to come... ;)

NB: I would really appreciate and welcome if any body ready to contribute towards the development for the project.
Hi,
Could you explain a bit about your motivation for this? Does this add anything to existing platform functionality?
Pawel
@Eric: There is an issue with the "comments" option in an article. At least you should give the permission to the creator of the article to accept the comments and reply on it, otherwise don't send a notification immediately after someone has sent the comments rather first you approve it and then give a notification to the creator saying "for your so and so article some one has added this comment".
@Pawel: Though I've already replied to you (Coz I knew your id from FN) I'm posting it again for the public here:
"I thank you for your time in checking that.
I thought of starting this project on SF some months back, by that time there was no Nokia examples for sending files over OBEX, so my intention was to create a sample project by which it may help some of the S60 developers at least. But I was bit late ;(. I requested for the project by the half of Dec, 2006 and they approved the project by 23 Dec, 2006.
The last week I noticed that there are some new things for BT on FN. A new updated Bluetooth PDF that they have published on 22 Dec, 2006 and more over there is a new OBEX example application.
Any way I would like to continue with my project by doing the latest modifications (if any required) and wanted to make it a useful thing. I would really appreciate if you can give me some valid advice on this."
