Symbian Limited announced today that Sharp Corporation has licensed Symbian OS™ for the development of its advanced-featured mobile phones also called smartphones.

Sharp Corporation and Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications Japan today jointly announced an agreement to co-develop the base software and to share selected hardware for 3G FOMA mobile phones for NTT DoCoMo, Inc.
