N97 is now available on Nokia Remote Device Access facility. I have taken the opportunity to use this to run a small "Phone Information" utility we use at NewLC (and that we will deliver to you soon) and here are a few figures that might be of interest.

Nokia has just released a beta version of the N97 SDK. This SDK is suitable for C/C++, Java, WebRuntime and Python development. It introduce a dedicated emulator with N97 look and feel as well as new APIs available on this particular device.
Dear Mr Head of Developer Support at Nokia, please find attached a patch targeted at the S60 3rd FP2 SDK to allow the poor developers that we are to be able to compile our application without hundred of lines of warning. There are probably other defects in the SDK as I cannot check all files but at least this is a first start.
The Symbian Foundation today announced the Zoom OMAP34x-II mobile development platform (MDP) based on OMAP technology from Texas Instruments as the first standard hardware development platform for developers. Using the Zoom OMAP34x-II MDP, Symbian developers will be able to quickly and easily validate smartphone and Mobile Internet Device (MID) applications that will run on Symbian^3 - the next release of the Symbian platform and is targeted for development in 2H 2009.
The Eclipse Foundation today announced Pulsar, a new industry initiative to define and create a standard mobile application development tools platform. The initiative is led by Motorola, Nokia and Genuitec. Participating members also include IBM, RIM and Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications.
The S60 5th SDK was available since a few month in a beta "v0.9" version. Forum Nokia has just released an updated "v1.0" version which introduces support for new APIs (like the cool transition APIs), new examples and fixes a few bugs.
