Installing several IDEs with their corresponding SDKs on the same machine is still a little bit "experimental" when working with Symbian OS development toolchain. And a complete loss of your SDK configuration is a common surprise. Here is a little fix when working on the UIQ platform with both Metrowerks Codewarrior and Borland/Microsoft IDEs.

The Series 60 SDK for Symbian OS enables application development for the Series 60 Developer Platform Second Edtion devices using C++, such as the Nokia 6630, which are based the Series 60 Second Edition - Supporting Feature Pack 2 software and Symbian OS 8.0a.

Borland C++BuilderX is a nice environment to start developping Symbian application. However, it does not allow - by default - to debug console based application (EXE). Here is how you should configure your project to do this....

Borland has announced a new update of its C++BuilderX Mobile Edition environment. The major update of this new feature is the integration of Rapid Application Development features such as form and menu designers to speed the development of Symbian mobile applications.

Series 60 SDK 2.1 for Symbian OS enables C++ application development for the Nokia 6620 and other devices based on the Series 60 Platform and Series 60 2.1 software. New in Series 60 2.1 is support for the Presence Open API and Bluetooth notifier.
