You have an error with the ECMT component. Either (re)install the ECMT support package on your phone or remove/fix ECMT logging from your code.

What is "not working" ? Is your application crashing ? Can it connect to your server ? How do you want to have some help with so little detail.
Btw, you might need to read about stack and descriptor usage in Symbian OS.

Re: undefined identifier 'MHTTPAuthenticationCallBack'

2 mistakes were there

1> function return type in signature of MHFRunError was void(needed to be TInt)
2>in system include I had to include "/epoc32/include/ecom"

and the program compiled without errors

But then I have another doubt

I had already included "/epoc32/include" . But why did it not compile that time?

was it due to path clashes of 2 headerfiles containing the same function.

then without using the system include was it possible to specify the full path of the clashing headerfile in the #include< >?
statement

Then I also guess that

System include contains
the specific paths where search for included library files are to be made
Is that right!

You may need to include "epoc32\ecom" in your SYSTEMINCLUDE path.
Have you implemented MHFRunError ? You need to implement this function. If yes, check that the signature of your function is exactly the same than the one specified by MHTTPTransactionCallback interface.

Re: TCP Latency

Hi Eric,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I was wandering how the network knows its HTTP and thus decides tp allcate low QoS?. Is it possible that by playing around with RSubConnection API I can persuade the network into providing the desired QoS that features Low latency?

I am not especially surprised by the figure you give. I do achieve similar timings using HTTP as well. I wouldn't use HTTP if timing is so important to you: it is very likely that the QoS for this particular protocol is quite low as it mostly used for web browsing.

Starting from 3rd FP2, CmManager should be used instead of APEngine.

But for connection client and server ,Can i use Rconnections??

Thanks

(1)What protocol should i have to use??

(2)Which type of server i have to use?

(3)How to stablish the connections like..

(1) The one that is supported by the server you intend to use.

(2) Hmmm... you need to also write the server-side ? Then use whatever protocol you like (you can do it with most web protocol (over HTTP, SIP, or SMS, or directly through socket, using binary or textual or XML for your data...)

(3) RConnection ?

As this can go wrong at some many points, I would personally make sure first that the principal connection from the phone to my Windows XP machine is working. For this I would set up a web server on the PC, with a small sample website, and then try to read that with the phone's in-built WWW browser.

If that works, you can concentrate on finding problems in your program proper. If that doesn't work, you can try to find out wether your mobile operator silently drops some traffic (this is called "walled garden approach" or similar), whether your Internet provider that serves your PC operates (without your knowledge) a firewall that could interfere, whether the IP address that you use is really the right one (if there is NAT active somewhere, it gets difficult), and so on.

My fortune teller's guess would be in your case: You will *not* reach your own personal web server with your mobile.
