is that console application ?
i think it.

if so remove console part from your application.
don't write anything on console.

v select messaging from menu.then v select option.then v hv chosen settings.nw in settings v can see many items like text message,multimedia message etc.if i open any of them an another form can b viewed with each item.nw i hv created an application and if i open my application again an another form comes.n this form is built-in.my job is to replace or add new item in this form.hw it can b possible?

You could also simply resort to existing applications. Dataviz RoadSync or Nokia's Mail for Exchange. Otherwise you'd have to license from Microsoft their ActiveSync protocols for over-the-air synchronization.

There are no API's in Symbian to connect to MS exchange server.

thanks khalid.... This books basically talks about PC suite connectivity. Where as i need to sync with Outlook (microsoft exchange server)

I am now facing a peculiar problem, the email code is working,
however I am not getting the email. I am unable to find any problems
with the code. I used KSenduiMtmSmtpUid for email and gave the right email id.
I have added the subject field also.

and why are we using this TRequestStatus status;

Can anybody help out.

Use the SMS editor on the emulator to create a message, and send it. A file will be saved in the smsout/ directory. Copy and drop that file in the smsin/ directory. It will quickly disappear, but will be sufficient to simulate message reception.

I am not sure, but does including the LocalServices, ReadUserData, ReadDeviceData, WriteUserData, and WriteDeviceData capabilities help?

You are right Visu. Because of the heavy capability requirements, any MTM implementation has to go through the Symbian Signed process and get manufacturer approval.
