Use a global Message Query instead, it works for me

Code as follows....

iQueryHandlerAO = CGlobalQueryQueryHandlerAO::NewL(*this);
iQueryHandlerAO->Start(); // construct the global message query
iGlobalMsgQuery = CAknGlobalMsgQuery::NewL();

HBufC* header = StringLoader::LoadLC(RS_SNOTEABOUTHD);
HBufC* message = StringLoader::LoadLC(RS_SNOTEABOUT);
// execute the global message query
iGlobalMsgQuery->ShowMsgQueryL(iQueryHandlerAO->iStatus,
*message, R_AVKON_SOFTKEYS_OK_EMPTY,
*header,KNullDesC);

CleanupStack::PopAndDestroy(message);
CleanupStack::PopAndDestroy(header);
